B.Pharm qualification
Candidates should hold a B.Pharm degree from a recognised institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India, subject to the current MAKAUT admission notification.

M.Pharm Admission
Advance your pharmaceutical education at Gupta College of Technological Sciences, Asansol. GCTS offers postgraduate study in Pharmaceutics and Pharmacology, with admission governed by the current MAKAUT, Pharmacy Council of India and applicable counselling requirements.
Important: M.Pharm counselling schedules, seat matrices, merit rules and reporting instructions may be revised by MAKAUT during the admission cycle. Candidates should always follow the latest official MAKAUT and PCI notifications and confirm current availability with the GCTS admission office.
Eligibility
General M.Pharm eligibility for 2026–27
The following combines the core PCI postgraduate eligibility framework with the current MAKAUT M.Pharm admission route. Any later official notification will prevail.

Minimum marks
PCI M.Pharm regulations prescribe at least 55% aggregate in B.Pharm for the general category and 50% for SC/ST candidates, subject to applicable reservation and University rules.

Final-year candidates
MAKAUT's 2026 PGET information permits eligible candidates appearing in the final B.Pharm examination to apply, subject to producing the required qualifying result and documents within the prescribed timeline.

Pharmacy registration
Selected candidates should comply with the State Pharmacy Council registration requirement and any other document conditions prescribed under PCI/MAKAUT rules.

Postgraduate programmes
Choose your M.Pharm specialisation.
GCTS currently presents postgraduate study in two established pharmacy specialisations. Final seat availability should be checked against the current MAKAUT/PCI-approved seat matrix for the admission session.
Pharmaceutics
Advanced study focused on dosage-form design, drug-delivery systems, formulation development, manufacturing science and research methodology.

Pharmacology

Admission route
MAKAUT PGET / GPAT pathway.
MAKAUT conducts its postgraduate admission process for M.Pharm and recognises valid GPAT performance within the applicable admission framework.
Confirm B.Pharm eligibility
Check your degree, marks, PCI approval of the qualifying institution and required registration/documents.
PGET / valid GPAT
Follow the current MAKAUT PGET process or the applicable GPAT route as specified in the University's admission notification.
Counselling & choice filling
Participate in the current MAKAUT counselling/choice-filling process and follow the published merit, allotment and seat-matrix instructions.
Report to GCTS
After applicable allotment/selection, complete document verification, fees and final admission formalities as instructed by the College and University.
